When we left Nashville around ten Friday night, there was to be no sleeping. In Coaches words “this is a production, no sleeping aloud!” In other words, not that I slepp well on buses anyway…Coach decided it would be best if the lights were kept on and everyone could be as loud as they wanted (Including him). In other words I got about two hours (maybe) of sleep that night.
We finally arrived at Hillcrest around 630 Saturday morning and I think everyone could agree in being relieved and happy. The only bad thing about it was it was raining. Our luggage got soaked but I didnt really care because I was home.
Over all I had an awesome time on our HTV Bus Tour ‘09. We didnt get much sleep, and we were very rushed in our daily schedule, but it was all worth it! I experienced so many things, and learned an absolute ton. My senior Spring Break couldnt have been better!
The next day in Nashville we woke up around 9 and loaded the bus. Brandon (again) suggested one of Nashvilles famous pankake breakfast cafes, and well, lets just say, famous was an understatement. The food was mouthwatering! Everything that was on my plate was delicious. We even saw (some met) a some what celebrity. I never watch the show or have heard of him, but MJ from the Real World Philly was there eating. Some of the girls took their picture with him and so on. I would hate to be a celebrity though, you couldnt go anywhere with out finishing your meal in peace! When breakfast was over we walked around shops all day and had fun. By this time in the trip though we were all really tired and just wanted to go home. When we left that area around three, some were getting ready to go to the Opry, and the rest of us were told to just walk around the mall or see a movie. We did just that. Finally around 930 we met at Barnes and Noble and headed out.
Our last full day on Springbreak was in Nashville. We got to the hotel around five and walked in to a marvelous hotel. When we got up to our rooms we were amazed. The rooms were huge with sleep time beds! We couldnt believe it! We met downstairs around 6 and headed to downtown Nashville. Our stomachs wouldnt stop growling so the first thing we did was find a place to eat. Brandon seemed to be a Nashville expert and suggested a spegehtti (SP) and steak place. It didnt take long to get seated, and Sarah and I started out with some sweet tea. Little did we know the tea came unsweatened and you poured sugar water already made up in the tea to sweaten it!!! It was sooo good. Frances and Alex quickly changed their water and diet coke to teas as well. Our waiter brought out each sauce for us to try and each of them were to die for. We all ordered the same thing, steak and spegehtti and enjoyed every bite. It was by far one of the cheapest and best meals we had. When we were done eating we walked around for a long time and with in a few hours ended up at BB Kings. It was a lot of fun and we didnt want to leave.
Our day started out with waking up and going downstairs to Krispy Kreme doughnuts! After we loaded the bus and everyone started dozing off, I got more and more into the book I had bought the previous day. As of now Im almost to page 450 and have 100 left!!! I am obsessed!!!!!!! When we got to Charlotte North Carolina we arrived at the Nascar Speedway. Mostly everyone went in except for me Alex Brook Sarah and Fran. I decided I was much more interested in reading about Bella and her struggles than going into the speedway and taking some kind of tour. I was very happy with my decision. Finally after that was through we went back to the hotel and took about an hour to get ready. We mostly split up and but I went with my usual clan to the mall. It was HUGE! All the stores you could ever imagine and more. Too bad all of these stores were way out of my price range. AKA this mall had VALLET PARKING. Not kidding! Every car in the lot was either a range rover or a lexus of some sort! But it was fun. When we left the mall Alex and I realized because it was raining our chances of going downtown to get a story was slim to none, Coach called and told us we’d better get back to the hotel to find a story! Lucky for us there was a Lacross team there! One of the freshman boys was a little cocky.. but they were all really good interviews and very helpful in showing Michael and I how to play! Its a lot harder than it looks, thats for sure!
Today was a very fun day! We woke up realllly early but it was all worth it once we got to Virginia Beach around noon. I knew the day was going to be awesome when as soon aas we walked in our room we had a sea side view of the Atlantic ocean and we starting FEEDING THE PELICANS! Im not joking. At first it started with us throwing wheat thins and apple cinnamon crisps at them but then Brook Fran Brandon and Charles started feeding them from their hands! It was incredible! Im going to try and upload pictures as long as my battery doesn’t run out! After that greatttt adventure we got ready and went to the mall. The mall was ok. O and Im not sure if I mentioned in my last blog about me finishing my book…but I did and I bought the second one today at the mall because I couldn’t wait. We left the mall around 4 and headed back to he hotel and shortly after that we headed to George’s sea food. It was an all you can eat buffet and was absolutely delicious. We ate crab legs crab legs and more crab legs. I am now sitting in the hotel writing this and waiting to get into the shower, read, and the BED! Tomorrow is North Carolina and I have no idea whats going on!
